I got off my game a little with the "Underground" reminder. If you're near a television tonight at 10 p.m. be sure and tune in to the WGN network for the fourth installment. Have a good hump day!
Tonight's the night for "Underground" don't forget to tune in at 10 p.m. on the WGN. Had a technical hiccup with my website/blog, so, this is a repost.
Nat "King" Cole is my musical idol and today is his 97th b'day. He left us way too soon but I'm on a mission help keep his legacy alive. Long live the King! Keep your eyes & ears open for the show I wrote to celebrate his life and music.
Hey all, don't forget to tune in to watch "Underground" tonight (3/16/2016) at 10 p.m. on the WGN. The series premiere got off to a great start last week. Check out the #Variety online review - http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/ratings-wgn-america-underground-premiere-network-record-1201727659/
I don't usually have what it takes to fully appreciate movies and TV shows about slavery - they make my blood boil and most times are more of an emotional toll than I can stomach - but when I saw the trailer for #Underground it really caught my interest. So, I set my alarm to be sure to catch the premiere episode last night on WGN. I found myself glued to the tube and watched both repeats of the hour long premiere that followed at 11pm and 12 am. This is such a powerful show (with some powerful acting. All the performances were top notch but I was especially impressed by #JurneeSmollett-Bell and #AldisHodge. I think this show could give us all a lot to learn about history, humanity, strength, hope, love, faith, freedom (not just the conventional definition) and so much more. The program airs Wednesday nights, the same night as "Empire" (starring Jurnee's brother #JussieSmollett) but I hope as many of you who tune in each week to watch the Lyons will tune in (at least once) to support this powerful new series. Bravo to the WGN! Click here to check out the NPR article about the show.
